Ambleside is a small town in the Lake District. It has become a popular tourist destination with shops, restaurants, cinema and a large selection of places to stay.

It resides in Northwest England and marks the head of Windmere which is England’s largest lake.

It is also south of the highest road pass in the Lake District, Kirkstone Pass. A very well known location for mountain hiking trails.
